Award Guidelines
Download the nomination form below. Nominators can submit up to two additional supporting documents such as press releases or articles highlighting the transaction coverage. Please PDF all supporting documents and send with your completed nomination form to acghouston@acg.org.
The details of your nomination will remain confidential. Only the judges will have access to the information provided in your submission. Categories for the Deal of the Year Awards will be determined based on the nominations received and segmented by industry, deal size (if disclosed), transaction type, and unique deal characteristics.
IMPORTANT DATES:
- Nomination Deadline: Friday, February 20, 2026
- Finalists Announced: Thursday, March 26, 2026
- Deal of the Year Awards Ceremony: Wednesday, April 22, 2026
DEAL CRITERIA:
- Closing: Deals closing between January 1, 2025 – December 31, 2025
- No submission limits: Encourage firms to nominate their top one or two deals
ACG Houston will recognize deals with the following parameters:
| Region: | Transactions should have a reasonable relationship to the Greater Houston area (Katy, Woodlands, Kingwood, etc.) – e.g. where the company being transacted, or strategic buyer, is based in the Greater Houston area. |
ACG Houston will recognize deals completed by a Houston based Private Equity Groups with the following parameters:
| Firm location: | Private Equity group headquartered in Houston |
| Company/Target location: | Anywhere within North America |
| Type of Deal: | Merger or Acquisition (including add-on) |
ACG Houston will recognize deals completed by Houston based Investment Banks with the following parameters:
| Firm location: | Investment bank headquartered in Houston |
| Company/Target location: | Anywhere within North America |
