CFO of Helmerich & Payne
Mark has twenty-five years of experience in the auditing, consulting and energy industries in the United States and Europe. Mark has been in the oilfield services drilling business for most of the last decade. He joined Helmerich & Payne as Chief Financial Officer on June 1, 2018. Mark’s responsibilities include Investor Relations, Finance, Risk Management, Accounting and Tax. Prior to H&P, Mark served offshore driller Atwood Oceanics in several roles starting in 2009 until its acquisition by a larger competitor in 2017. Mark’s roles at Atwood included VP Corporate Services, Chief Accounting Officer and Chief Financial Officer. Before that, Mark was a partner at Calvetti Ferguson, a Houston-based full-service accounting firm. Other experience includes PricewaterhouseCoopers and Arthur Andersen, leading attestations for public audit clients, as well as Gunn Partners Consulting, where he focused on improving the value of administrative functions.
Mark and his wife, Angela, have been married for twenty years having met in Houston. They have a dog, Audrey Pearl, and two cats – Neiman and Ranger Sam. The oldest and smallest pet, Neiman, is in charge of the Smith house. Mark and Angela enjoy dining out and travelling. They have each been to over 35 countries (not all the same countries) and 35 states (ditto). The Smiths are wine enthusiasts with particular likeness for and interest in wines from Mendoza, Argentina. Mark and Angela are also Porsche car hobbyists who have taken performance driving classes. Their Porsche Club involvement has taken them on scenic driving tours and introduced them to fun people.
Mark is a Certified Public Accountant and earned both his BBA and MBA from Baylor University. He serves on the Board of Child Advocates in Houston which speaks up for abused children and guides them into safe environments where they can strive.
Mr. Rawson, has served on the Board of Directors of Insperity, Inc. (NSP), since 1989. He retired in May 2018 as President of Insperity after serving in that position since 2003. Before being elected President, he served as Executive Vice President of Administration, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of the Company since 1989. Mr. Rawson is the Past President of the National Association of Professional Employer Organizations (“NAPEO”). Mr. Rawson currently serves on the Executive Advisory Committee of the Bauer College Board of the C.T. Bauer College of
Business at the University of Houston, the National Board of Directors for Genesys Works, Chairman of the Board of Infinity Learning Solutions and Trinity Legacy Partners. He also serves as Chairman of the Board and CEO of POM Asset Management. Mr. Rawson has a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance from the University of Houston.
C.J. first joined Summit Partners in 1990 as an Associate. Today, as a Managing Director, he focuses primarily on the technology and education sectors.
C.J. has served as a board director for many companies, including three public companies. He is currently a director of Calypso Technology, MercuryGate, Ruffalo Noel Levitz, Trident University International and Trintech. His previous directorships include Access Information Management (acquired by Berkshire Partners), Answers (acquired by Apax Partners), GoldenGate Software (acquired by Oracle), Heald College (acquired by Corinthian Colleges), HelpSystems (acquired by H.I.G. Capital), Infor Global Solutions, M-Audio (acquired by Avid Technology), Mo Industries (acquired by VF Corporation), Perforce Software (acquired by Clearlake Capital), Ubiquiti Networks (NASDAQ: UBNT) and WebSideStory (NASDAQ: WSSI).
Prior to rejoining Summit in 2001, C.J. attended business school, and was founder and Chief Executive Officer of North Systems. He holds a BS in computer science, with honors, from the Georgia Institute of Technology and an MBA from Harvard Business School, where he was a Baker Scholar.
C.J. is a member of the Georgia Tech Advisory Board (GTAB). In addition, he serves on the Board of Directors of Gather Ministries and on the advisory board for New Story, an innovative non-profit that transforms communities around the world by building crowdfunded houses in areas of need.
Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Visteon
Christian Garcia leads all financial activities for Visteon, including accounting, treasury, tax, audit, investor relations and corporate development.
Garcia has more than 30 years of financial experience and has held a variety of leadership roles of increasing responsibility in the energy, software and consulting, and business equipment manufacturing industries. Before joining Visteon on Oct. 1, 2016, he was senior vice president, finance, and acting chief financial officer for Halliburton Company, a global provider of products and services to the energy industry. At Halliburton, Garcia progressed through leadership roles as senior director of corporate planning, vice president of operations finance, senior vice president of investor relations, treasurer, and chief accounting officer before being named acting CFO in 2015. He also held a series of senior financial positions with Landmark Graphics, a software and consulting provider that was acquired by Halliburton in 1996. Prior to joining Landmark Graphics, he worked at Bell and Howell and San Miguel Corp. in the Philippines in various roles.
Garcia also serves on the board of directors and chairs the board’s audit and risk committee at Keane Group, Inc., one of the largest pure-play providers of well completion services in the U.S.
He has a bachelor’s degree in business economics from the University of the Philippines, and a master’s degree in management from Purdue University.
A. Kelly Williams is currently serving as Managing Director of Aztec USA, a leading tent and party rental company, based in Houston, TX. Prior to Aztec, Mr. Williams was President and founder of Milestone Equity. He was responsible for developing the fundamental investment criteria and implementing the business plan by sourcing qualified acquisition candidates, evaluating targets, negotiating and closing purchases of portfolio companies, and being integrally involved in developing and implementing the portfolio companies’ growth strategies. Mr. Williams actively participated in each portfolio transaction and post-acquisition monitoring for Milestone. He has also served as a member of the Board of Directors of each of the Milestone portfolio companies.
Mr. Williams holds an Accounting and Finance degree from Texas A&M University, a Juris Doctorate from South Texas College of Law and a Masters of Law in Taxation (LL.M. Taxation) from New York University.
Mr. Williams lives in Houston, Texas with his wife and five children. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Gulf Coast Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Mr. Williams is a very active outdoorsman who enjoys snow skiing, running, biking and golfing.
Mr. Bruce is Vice President and the Chief Financial Officer of EagleRidge Energy, a Dallas-based Oil & gas producer focused in the Barnett Shale. It boast several sophisticated Investors such as Starwood Capital, Equity Group Investment, Leucadia National (Jefferies Capital Partners) and lead lender Wells Fargo.
Mr. Bruce is a solutions-oriented individual experienced in working with complex and diversified Fortune 500 companies. As a seasoned senior financial and audit executive, Mr. Bruce brings with him over 25 years of a broad range of experiences within the energy, government and other sectors. He has been the Chief Audit Executive for several Fortune 500 companies. He has also directed strategy for industry groups related to oil and gas, energy, healthcare & government, manufacturing, construction, and other industrial services while at PWC. Previously, Mr. Bruce served as Director and Practice Leader in the Internal Controls division of Jefferson Wells, VP and General Auditor for Lyondell Chemical Company, VP of Corporate Compliance and Internal Audit at Dynegy, Inc. and as Director of Strategic Risk Services at PWC.
Mr. Bruce holds his CPA license from the State of Texas and received his B.S. in Business Administration from Morgan State University and his M.B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh.
Chad started his career with Kenneth Leventhal & Co in their real estate advisory practice and has spent the past 25 years exclusively working in the commercial real estate business. He helped grow AmREIT (NYSE:AMRE) from $50 million to over $1 billion in assets when it sold to EDENS in February 2015. As CFO and COO, he was responsible for over 60 employees in multiple offices, all aspects of debt and equity capital formation including leading the Company’s IPO on the New York Stock Exchange, accounting and reporting, asset and portfolio management, investor and institutional relations and human resources.
