Mark Frates
Mark is the Executive Vice President of Glencoe Diversified Holdings, LLC (GDH), a diversified conglomerate and investment company, overseeing finance, capital markets, M&A, strategy and operational leadership. GDH has investments across specialty chemicals, insurance, education, energy services, manufacturing, and business services sectors. Mark also holds the position of President and CFO at Child Development Schools, the fourth largest childcare services provider in the United States. Under his leadership, the company expanded its footprint to encompass over 270 schools in 11 states, with a capacity exceeding 45,000 children. Mark also serves on the board of multiple private company boards.
Mark also has experience in multi-industry private equity, and possesses a skill set including deal sourcing, due diligence, financial modeling, and portfolio management. He has successfully managed equity and debt raises while overseeing various real estate assets and portfolio companies. Mark’s corporate development and strategy expertise extends to his tenure at Energy Future Holdings after the leveraged buyout by Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. Additionally, his tenure at Citigroup Global Markets equipped him with investment banking experience, covering technology, industrials, and energy industry verticals. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from Southern Methodist University.
